Real name: Ingólfur Sigurðsson

Icelandic. The musician Ingólfur Sigurðsson, who goes by the artist name Insol, released his first songs in 1998. Since then, a number of folk-style albums have been released by him.

Insol's biggest hit is the song When in Iceland will a star-studded station rise and the influence of folk singers such as Bob Dylan will not be hidden. Insol plays guitar, harp and keyboard in his songs as well as singing.

The bank collapse in 2008 was very much on Insol's agenda, when he released songs such as Bankafylleríið er búit and Borgað fyrir burgeisana.
