Real name: Ольга Матвеевна Курганова (Войкова)

(1882, Moscow 1965) - artist of the Opera (lyric-dramatic soprano). Sister of singer A. M. Kurganov. Born in a working class family. Studied singing in Moscow. musical-drama school class. A. Knipper), after which debuted in 1904 at the Solodovnikov theatre (Association of private Rus. Opera, Moscow). Later improved under the leadership of R. I. Spiegel-Orenstein. Sang also in Kiev (1906/07 and in 1916-20-s), Tiflis (1907), Berlin (June 1908, entre Deux. A. A. Tsereteli), St. Petersburg (Nar. house, 1910-15), Kazan (1911/12), Warsaw (1914).
