Real name: أسعد الموسوي (As'ad al-Mūsawī)

Abu Ḥarba was a Lebanese singer who worked in the Beirut Municipality as a garbage-collector. He became famous for his bedouin-styled songs and upbeat singing. He first went to Syria where he recorded some songs along famous at the time bedouin singers like نوفة (Noufah), and (2) علي مهدي (Ali Mahdi). After that stint in Syria, he was invited by Mohammed Al-Khatieb; Jordan's Radio manager to sing Jordanian folklore and bedouin 'rabbabah' songs in the early 60's. He also made some recordings for the B.B.C. but nothing survives of these records today.
