Bells Echo is an indieband from Copenhagen, formed in 2011. Drawing on inspiration from the alternative rock of the 90s and 00s, their melodic indie rock comes out with an impressive wide sound and melodies filled with intensity. The music is influenced by artists such as The Shins, Real Estate, Fleet Foxes and Red House Painters. With personal lyrics that transforms everyday life, the music is created by simple guitar melodies entangled in a web of ethereal keyboard sound, three-part (harmony) vocals and bombastic drums.
The band’s purpose is to enhance the melody and create recognisable themes, so the audience can lean back and simply enjoy the spherical universe
Having toured the venues of Copenhagen excessively for the past years, the band sought refuge in the studio to record their debut album I Can See Your Bike From Here.
After finishing recording the album, the songs were sent to mastering at Doug Van Sloan in the US. He has previously worked with Bright Eyes, She & Him, Tokyo Police Club and First Aid Kit.
The ten songs that make up the debut album has been written over a period of 7 years (it started off as a solo project for singer Jens Rose Kongstad). The first single “Jump Off The Page” proves that fans of Fleet Foxes and Band Of Horses can look forward to a Danish band with huge potential.
