British satirical political sitcom, which ran on BBC TV from 1980 to 1984 as Yes Minister. Towards the end of the 4th series, the hapless Jim Hacker was promoted and became Prime Minister, resulting in two series running from 1986 to 1988 as Yes Prime Minister.
