Juan Domingo Perón (1895–1974) was an Argentinian politician and lieutenant general, the President of Argentina from 1946 to 1955 (two terms ending in a coup d'état overthrow) and again in 1973–74. He held several other government positions throughout his career as well, including Minister of Labour and Vice President.
