Real name: Reid Patrick Smith

Reid Patrick Smith (born February 9, 1992), better known by his stage name Reid The Martian, is a rapper/singer/songwriter/musician originally from South Bend, Indiana. Reid’s family moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area in 2000, where in 2006 Reid co-founded and was the drummer for alternative rock band, Auburn Skies. In 2010, Reid began attending the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. While there, his band Auburn Skies changed lineups and re-branded as Wolf, The Rabbit. In 2011, Reid dropped out of KU, dissolved Wolf, The Rabbit and began pursuing a solo career in the hip-hop field. Reid’s first two singles as an independent hip hop artist, “Introduction” and “Work,” were released in March 2012, under the name Rabbiteater.
