Freak Out was a skate punk band from Thetford Mines, Qc. They started as a five piece with a lead singer, guitarist, bassist, trumpeter and a drummer. They released one song on a Punx Without Mohawx comp with their original singer but they dropped the him and the trumpet player before recording their album "Race Against Time" as a trio. An early version of the song "A New Man" with trumpet was supposed to be released on a comp in Ontario but it never got out unfortunately. The band eventually broke and two members went on to form pop rock act These Silent Waves in Quebec City.
