Arno Bergmann

Arno Bergmann (26 February 1934 – 8 July 2020) was a German musician, mathematician, and composer. Born in Bielefeld, his musical talents brought him to the University College of Music in West-Berlin.
Bergmann is best known for his compositions for radio plays by Kurt Vethake during the 1970s. Together with friends of Deutsche Oper Berlin, he recorded his music at RIAS studios. Renown Musicians like Ernst Kindermann performed the miniature pieces, often orchestrated as classical wind quartet. He taught music and math, and founded the school's "Paulsen Band". Another research area of his was stochastic. He died in Berlin aged 86.
