António Beja was born in Alcobaça, Portugal (01-06-1948). At some point, in younghood life, he migrated to The Netherlands, as a political refugee. There he recorded his revolutionary musics, while Portugal was liberated from a fascist dictatorship. Back in Portugal, he lived at Casa de Saúde do Telhal, a charity institution for people with severe psychiatric disorders. He died in Amadora, Portugal (24-01-2022).
