Real name: Александр Гирин

Musical project and Tolkien-influenced moniker of Russian electronic musician Alexander Girin. He started recording music actively in late 2000. First 7 albums were recorded during the next three years. After 2003 Alexander took a large break from music till 2014. Something was recorded in that period, but nothing materialized as a real release. In fact no music was publicly available until 2014, when Alexander stated recording new materials and updating the old for the album Willing to Awaken that was released in December 2014 and presented during a live performance of its tracks. After that author was active for some time, but took a break again until 2017. The year started with a preparation for big performance at KLEMcon in Nizhny Novgorod, which happened at April 29. Then musician joined USC label team as a musician and also mastering engineer. The monumental album Renaissance XXI came out in September 2017. In 2018 Randolf Scand project was largely replaced by a more stellar project Astrovia. A series of anniversary reissues of early albums started in September 2020 and continued in 2021. Sadly, Alexander Girin passed away on July 8, 2021.
