Ruy Rey
Real name: Sunday Zeminian
(January 4,1915 - March, 26 1995) An actor, singer, and composer from Brazil. Together with his orchestra, he became famous for interpreting Spanish-American rhythms (bolero, mambo, rumba, etc.) between the 1940's and 1960's, peaking in the 1950's. In 1946, he releassed first record on the Continental label, with the boleros 'Nobody,' by Agustin Lara, and 'No Mientas' by Dante Santoro and Sila Gusmão. With the emergence of Bossa Nova in the 1960's, his career collapsed and he left music in 1968.
