Minimal Synth / New Wave act formed in 1982 in California with producer/musician Jon St. James, musician Ross Wood, and former circus performer turned vocalist Stacey Swain. Swain was brought into the project by St. James as a producer, but he asked her to step in the booth and sing on the track "Sushi" and she found her new home as the group's vocalist.Swain and St. James continued the Q project with the formation of synthpop group SSQ.
