Real name: Hisanao Ishioka

House music label owner.
Moved from Japan to New York in 1985 to study club interiors and restaurants while employed by a Japanese interior design firm.
Regular attendee at The Saint, Area and Paradise Garage until its closure in 1987.
Booked Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales and other DJs to tour Japan in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
Coordinated and compiled various releases for Japanese labels such as Victor, Scitron, Pony Canyon, Quattro and Bellissima Records in the early 1990s.
Established BPM (16) in 1991, Detente in 1992, BPM King Street Sounds in 1993, Nite Grooves in 1994 and Street King in 2009.
Parent company Hi's Production USA, Inc. was incorporated on May 27, 1992.
