Austrian Croat rock band from Burgenland, formed in 1968 as The Brew, changed to Bruji in the late 1970's.
The band mixed Austrian Croats and Austrians, as well they were singing in German, Croat and local dialect. Their own style, "Krowodn-Rock" was a mix of Yugoslawian and Austrian folk with rock and often political lyrics about everyday life. For many people of the small Austro Croat minority, the band was a key figure in giving them an own identiy.
