Tha Morbid One

Effective period / Period of releases: 2012 - 2014

Starting off in 2006, Tha Morbid One has evolved with each release to become a definitive Monster!

Tha Morbid One first started off as Cryptik X. He had ran several labels before being picked up by local label Brain Dead Projex. While nothing came to fruition from Brain Dead Projex and after two computer crashes that nearly wiped out all his recorded music (except a few tracks), Cryptik X released his first two demos in 2011 entitled EVPs and Ju-On (later both being put on the compilations "Voices from the Grudge" and "Tha Origins of..."). These releases caught the attention of IL horrorcore duo SkitzoFranix who signed him onto Unstable Entertainment. In July of 2012, Tha Morbid One dropped his debut EP "Tales from the Afterlife", experimenting with a style he called "J-Horror Rap" (Influenced heavily by Japanese horror films).

Unfortunately, a month after the release of "Tales from the Afterlife", Cryptik X was given the pink slip from Unstable Entertainment. Two months later, he dropped a long lost EP "Genetically Evil" and signed onto Butchered Beat Productionz to begin his first LP entitled "Self-Titled, Self-Inflicted." Unfortunately after the album was finished and due to internal drama within Butchered Beat Productionz between several of it's artists, Cryptik X was let go from Butchered Beat Productionz

In November 2012, Cryptik X found Grindhouse Musick Inc. with former BBP affiliate Cinikill. At this time, he had also caught the attention of Sev'rd Nervez Music CEO The J. Hexx Project. In 2013, having lost the will to continue music after being betrayed by Grindhouse Musick Inc Co-creator Cinikill, The J. Hexx Project approached him to make a one album deal with Sev'rd Nervez Music. In 2014, Cryptik X dropped his first song on Sev'rd Nervez Music entitled "Reality is a Nightmare" This created a complete overhaul for Cryptik X including a perminent deal onto Sev'rd Nervez Music and a name change to "Tha Morbid One" (which was suggested by SyckSyde alum Icepick Willie).

On December 24, 2014, Tha Morbid One released his Sev'rd Nervez debut "Something Sinister", an eleven track attack on society and the horrorcore industry. Now in 2015, Tha Morbid One is currently working on re-releasing his back catalog along with TWO new albums for the 2015/2016 year.
