Louis Farrakhan (born Eugene Walcott on May 11, 1933, in NYC, New York, USA) is an American religious leader, the head of the Nation of Islam. In the 50's, he was a calypso singer known as The Charmer, but he stopped his musical career, considering music to be incompatible with Islamic principles. However, he has continued to record topical material to spread his messages.
