American singer born 1945 Brooklyn, New York. Started singing professionally at age 15 with The Crystals, honing her craft while working and watching acts like "Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Dionne Warwick, The Commodores," and many others. While the original girls left in the sixties, she has kept The Crystals active and she performs as a trio with two non-original members.
