Irish fusion band founded in 1994, breaking up after the close of Wicklow records in 2000.Formed out of the loosely organized Steáfán Hannigan Band, active in the London Irish pub scene. The original lineup was Steafan Hannigan (pipes, percussion), Taz (vocal, guitar, bodhran), and Mike Cosgrave (guitar, keyboards), shortly joined by Ansuman Biswas (tablas, berimbau, percussion), Teresa Heanue (fiddle), and Francie MacIlduff on pipes.
When the band went full time, MacIlduff was replaced by James O'Grady. Biswas left in 1997, after recording the second album, replaced by Ben Clark. Heanue was next to leave, replaced by Gerry Diver in 1998.
