Deputy of the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 10-11 convocations (1979-1989) of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. [1] People's deputy of the USSR (1989-1991). Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR (1975-1980). A member of the CPSU Central Committee (1981-1991, a candidate member of the CPSU Central Committee in 1976-1981), delegate XXV, XXVI, XXVII, XXVIII CPSU congresses and XIX All-Union Conference of the CPSU.
