American-born, Gold is now probably best known as an authority, archivist & collector of music. Previously an executive of both A&M Records and Warner Bros. Gold is also the owner of 'recordmecca.com', a music collection source, and has been profiled in Rolling Stone magazine as one of the “top collectors of high-end music memorabilia." He has consulted for Cleveland's 'Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame', Seattle's 'Experience Music Project' including their “Beatlemania !” and “Bob Dylan’s American Journey” exhibitions.

He currently resides in Venice, California, USA.
