Tim Nichols

Real name: James Timothy Nichols

Tim Nichols (born in Portsmouth, Virginia) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Nichols has written for several country music singers, including Keith Whitley, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Alan Jackson (2).

He and songwriter Zack Turner recorded one album in 1993 as the duo Turner Nichols. Nichols, along with Craig Wiseman, earned a Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 2004, for McGraw's #1 hit "Live Like You Were Dying".
