Ms. Shannon is a classically-trained South African pianist, keyboardist and vocalist.
She has done numerous session work, also guesting and appearing on many jingles and TV productions; and she was the pianist for the Johannesburg Pops Orchestra for some years.

Her self-titled album (for which she received a "best instrumental album" SAMA in 2004) was released internationally as "The Romantic Piano of Lorraine Shannon", with a slightly different track listing and cover art in 2005.
