British classical violinist, orchestra leader (concertmaster), and violin teacher. Born in 1949 in Liverpool, England, UK.He studied at the Royal Northern College Of Music. Former Principal Second Violin with the London Symphony Orchestra (1974-1976). He has served as concertmaster of the London Philharmonic Orchestra (1976-1992, joined in 1972), the Orchestra Of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (1997). Former Leader of the Rehearsal Orchestra. In 1999, he became Solo Concertmaster of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. He has taught at the Royal Academy of Music and the Tokyo National University Of Fine Arts And Music.
