The Grasshoppers were an American band from White Bear Lake, Minnesota most famouos for covering Sugar And Spice (originally performed by The Searchers in 1963). Their version charted #1 in 1968 on Minnesota radio stations KDWB and WDGY. The band received a Best New Band Of The Year award at the Connie Awards on WCCO TV, May 27, 1968.
