Well known Background-Chorus for the Schlager-Elite in East Germany during the 1950s and 60s. The Hemmann-Quintett was founded by Fritz Hemmann, who also was a Schlager Singer in the 1950s.

The Hemmann-Quintett was also known for several single releases as a band (Vocals, Bass, Guitar, Accordion). In The mid-60s this band performed a few "Beat-Music" tracks under the alias Die Amigos. (e.g. a cover version of the Beatles track "I Want To Hold Your Hand").
