Jeter-Pillars "Club Plantation" Orchestra

Big band, that grew out of a sexted formed by James Jeter and Hayes Pillars. The band was engaged in 1934 for the opening of the Club Plantation in St. Louis, and remained there as the house band into the mid-1940s. After a tourn of the Far East and short engagements in Chicago and New York, the orchestra disbanded in the early 1950s.
