Spider Stacy

Real name: Peter Richard Stacy

UK musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as whistle player and sometimes singer for The Pogues.

Born December 14, 1958 in Eastbourne, London, England, Spider started as drummer in punk band 'The Bastards' before forming 'The Millwall Chainsaws' in 1979 with Ollie Watts (drums) and Matt Jacobson (bass). Spider was vocalist and Shane MacGowan joined later on guitar. He & MacGowan would re-unite in 'The New Republicans', the band that would eventually evolve into The Pogues.

In recent years he tours with Cait O'Riordan and the Lost Bayou Ramblers performing the music of The Pogues.
