The Moody Sec

In 1966 drummer Bart Terlaak en Ton van der Meer found soulband Moody Sec. The ask Linda Melcherts and Marva Hodge for the vocals en complete the band with bass player Dick Hoppe and Will Matla, solo guitar, both from The Black Albinos

Soon drummer Bart is replaced by Ab Engels.

From then on the band members are:
Marva Hodge - vocals
Linda Melcherts - vocals
Dick Hoppe - bass
Will Matla - guitar
Ton van der Meer - guitar
Ivan Leue - vocals/gitaar
Peter Seilberger - keyboards (recorded at the single) / Robert Plazier - organ
Jan Benjamin - saxophone
Adolphus Richardson - trumpet
Ab Engels - drums

End of 1967 their first single is released at the G.T.B. Studio, led by Q65 manager Wout van Soest. The A-side is Mocking Bird, sung by Marva Hodge, at the B-side Ballad Of A Waiting Man, written by Will Matla and Ton van der Meer sung by Ton, Jay Baar (Q65) on drums.
In 1969 Moody Sec records Let The Sun Shine In. At the B-side an instrumental track, 00-43-GM (license plate number of Fred Haayens car; Haayen, who discovered the Golden Earring, was founder of production company Red Bullet).
Soon after this release the band fell apart.
