Solaris is a symphonic progressive rock band from Hungary that was founded in February of 1980 by university students in Budapest. The founding members were Kollár Attila (flute), Erdész Róbert (keyboards), Cziglán István (guitar), Seres Attila (bass) and Tóth Vilmos (drums).

In the mid 80s, Gömör László replaced Tóth Vilmos on drums and Pócs Tamás replaced Seres Attila on bass.

The current line-up of Solaris is Kollár Attila (flute), Erdész Róbert (keyboards), Bogdán Csaba (guitar), Kisszabó Gábor (bass) and Gömör László (drums).
