Real name: Octávio Babo Filho

Octávio Filho (Born in 1915 and died on October 1, 2003 in Rio de Janeiro/RJ) was a Brazilian Composer. Poet, Renowned Lawyer, between the 1950s and 1970s, anticipated future struggles in consumer protection. Cousin of composer Lamartine Babo.

His performance in Brazilian popular music was marked by the Christmas song "O velhinho", defended in a Christmas contest by singer João Dias and which was ranked third. The composition, however, achieved great popular acceptance and became a classic in the Christmas repertoire.
