Swedish country-rock band from Sundsvall who are considered to have started the Swedish alt-country wave in the late 1990s.

The band was formed in 1996 and disbanded in 2003. During that time, The Thousand Dollar Playboys managed to record and release two albums on the record company Massproduktion.

The band's frontman Lars Bygdén now releases music under his own name. Several of the other members of the band played in parallel with the folk rock band Garmarna.
