The Shades Of Orange

Formed 1989 at the legendary Pipeline in Sundsvall, Sweden.
When Ronny Pale (Vocals) ,Daniel Westin (Drums) and Arvid Lind (Guitar) put up a note: ”Bass Player Wanted ! We play psychadelic pop with lots of feedback !”
Magnus Renström (Bass) joins the band. Ronny owned a Hammond&Leslie and found out that Magnus girlfriend played piano, Maria Ojala (Marja Elverstig) (Organ) there by also joined the band in the late fall of ’89 and their first gig took place at Pipelines Boxing Day show 26/12 1989. The year after, 1990 the first single ”Coming Out” was released.
The band preformed at Swedish Hultsfred Festival 1991.
The fall in 1991 they got signed by Sonet went into studio during November and December same year, record session took place both in Stockholm, Atlantis Studio and Studio White Room in Lärkeröd Munka Ljungby, Skåne. The release of their full-lenght album ”The Shades of Orange” came out in 1992.
But a messy record contract and Arvid Lind leaving the band to play with Popsicle made the band decide to disband already the year after in 1993.
A handful of reunion gigs have been made after 1993.
