The real name of this group is Apollos Show Band from Stockton, CA. They was active from late 1968 to mid-1975. The group travelled the country as backup band for the San Francisco Bay Area based vocal group, The Ballads and also backed up Jimmy "The Funky Tramp" Lynch. This band also backed up Etta James, Jimmy Whitherspoon, J.J. Jackson, Roger Collins and others. The band shared the stage with The Chambers Brothers, The Isley Brothers, The Stylistics, The Delfonics, El Chicano and more. Under the name Apollis was issued one only single in 1976.
