Hungarian American singer and actor (born August 27, 1883 in Pecs, Hungary)

Came to the United States in November 1910 and settled in New York City. Hegedüs became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1931 and changed his name to Louis Frank Hegedus.
Recorded for Columbia between 1916 and 1919 and for Victor in 1925. In 1931, he worked as an entertainer and restaurant manager. In 1942, he was employed with the Hungarian Actors and Artists Association. His wife, Margaret Hegedus, was also an actress and singer.
