Swedish band, based in Gothenburg, formed in 1987, which plays voodoo or mizik rasin music.

The inspiration is taken from the roots music on site in Haiti, both in Port-au-Prince and in the countryside. They have toured in many countries. Mainly in Sweden, but also in Haiti, Benin, the USA, France and Canada. The band has recorded three albums.

Simbi has had a long-standing collaboration with the roots band Boukman Eksperyans, which is considered by many to be Haiti's foremost. In Haiti, Simbi is called "the blue-eyed Haitians" for their involvement in Haitian music.
