Septet by numerical composition, but sextet by the timbral format. Female group that marked its presentation date on January 30, 1995 when a group of women from their native Santiago de Cuba aspired to prevail within the diverse universe of female orchestras. The first of its kind in the eastern province of Cuba.
Their repertoire includes the son, full in its authenticity rooted and imbued at the same time by contemporary concepts of creation, although it does not exclude other generic species that are inserted in the Sonero-Caribbean landscape such as the guaracha, the conga and the merengue.
Perlas Del Son is made up of Rosa María López Mustelier (May 1, 1966) director and bassist, Yilian Salazar (July 8, 1982) tresera, Maritza Cutido ([[August 20, 1970) guitarist, María Salas Duthiel (29 de May 1971) Bongosera, Oleisy Infante (January 7, 1978) singer, Ahile Marrero Sarduy (December 31, 1968) singer and Aylén Guevara (February 18, 1977) singer.
