It’s like yearning for a place that has never existed, like reminiscing of a past that has never been. Searching for the collision of these parallel worlds, the two members of “The Colder Sea” bring this longing to life on their self-produced debut EP, “Future Skies”. A warm 80’s-romance from analogue synthesizers meets cool digital sounds to both captivate and free your mind. Multifaceted, harmonious vocals hover over the music, presenting themselves in a showcase of synth-pop and wave. The seven songs of this EP appear at times experimental and moving, and at others, dreamy and full of melancholy. Inspired by everyday life, film, music and art, “The Colder Sea” paves the way forward while moving back to the future.
