THE PROPHECY are a progressive doom metal band from Yorkshire England. Formed in 2001 The Prophecy were quick to establish themselves in the live music scene with tours or Europe and USA. To date the band have released three full length studio albums, Ashes (2003), Revelations (2007) and Into The Light (2009.

Reknowned in the underground for their live performances, The band have supported, among others, MY DYING BRIDE, NOVEMBRE, MOURNING BELOVETH, ESOTERIC, REVEREND BIZZARE, SATURNUS, JACK FROST etc and have performed on stages worldwide. The band have appeared at numerous metal festivals including Bloodstock UK, Day of Darkness IRE, Dutch Doom Days NL, Moscow Doom Festival RUS, Brutalfest CU, and Midifest PRC.

The band's fourth studio album "SALVATION" was released on the 4th Feb 2013 on code666 records. The band are currently scheduled to play Bloodstock Open Air in the summer followed by Malta Doom Festival in the fall.
