Bottler, the self proclaimed 'ex-members of the bands you never knew' are a UK melodic punk band based in London, existing for wanting nothing more than to play and record punk rock music. Formed in 2013, these lads have navigated the London punk scene, and now have a number of impressive shows under their belt with peers from all over the globe, including shows with Red City Radio, Pears, The Gamits, Wank For Peace, 4Ft Fingers and The Human Project amongst others. From listening to their tunes or seeing them live, it is clear that the band are inspired by 90s melodic punk favourites such as NOFX, Face to Face, Millencolin, Lagwagon, Bad Religion and No Use For A Name, which can only be a good thing.
Bottler have stayed true to the punk rock tradition of DIY, most notably demonstrated by their well-received first release on Disconnect Disconnect Records, Smithereens (March 2014), which was recorded and edited all via home studios. It has been said that the EP has ‘a distinctly London feel’ (Already Heard), with ‘witty lyrics sung to catchy melodies that will stick in your head and keep you awake all night’ (ThePunkSite.com). These normcore punkers are striving, with vigour, to encourage fans to sing along, throw fists in the air and passionately tap their feet.
