He is a well-established folk musician through the group Väsen. He also plays in the groups Marin / Egeland, Timber, Rotvälta, Rebarock and more.

He teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in ensemble, arrangement and violin / viola at the folk music department.

He became national fiddler in 1983.

He was married to Mia Gustafsson.
