American jazz singer singer from the 1950's-1970's.
Born October 1, 1935 in San Diego, California, USA.
Died on or before April 1, 1982 in Hollywood, California, USA.
Married to band leader Stan Kenton 1955-1961.
In 1954, she toured with band leader Charlie Barnet as his band's primary female singer. Shortly after the tour with Barnet, she moved to Hollywood. Later that year she met Stan Kenton and began singing for the Kenton organization. In 1961 she posed for Playboy magazine, and Kenton quickly divorced her. But professionally it helped her and she was in demand at jazz clubs all over the country. Her last major singing tour was in Japan in December 1981.
