Bricquebec was a Frisian rock band that was founded in the mid-1980s. The name of the band is taken from the French town of the same name in Normandy, Bricquebec. In 1998 the band performed here in the local castle. The French town dates back to the time of the Vikings. Pronounced in Frisian, the name means 'Crooked Beak'.
