Classical rock group formed by music students from Marburg University, West Germany in 1971. They released four albums as a proper band during their history developing a unique style. In 1980 the multi-instrumentalist band leader Thomas Schmitt formed a new band Skyrider with Otto Pusch from the first Pell Mell line up. 1981 Schmitt released the final Pell Mell album "Moldau", which was largely a solo project, with the help of Ralf Fricke, who also worked with Schmitt on the Skyrider album.
