AFFENZAUBERHAND were just about to publish their album of the century when the band's drummer and producer Berndgorilla (www.berndfuerdiewelt.de) fled to South Korea in 2015 and took all the band's recordings and cash with him. Rumors say he is enjoying his luxurious life on the band's fortune in Seoul.
His brother Norbert Lehmur has become famous among medical scientists. After a heavy accident he's got a monkey brain implanted. Ever since his appetite for bananas increased enormously and he immediately learned how to talk to animals using his paws. For AFFENZAUBERHAND he writes the songs and plays guitar and bass.
The singer and good soul of the band Esther Bonobo makes her living as an astronaut. Her calculation skills with high numbers and martial arts trainings nowadays absorb all of her time. So there was no time left for the band and she left in 2017.
With the gracious support of wonderful guest singers AFFENZAUBERHAND released their fourth album (eng: 'Hear the angels sing!') in 2021 and their fifth album (eng: "Rock'n'Roll based on grandma's recipe for success") in 2024.
