Real name: John Alexander McGhee

American big band and jazz trumpeter and bandleader who performed with various notable artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrews Sisters, and Louis Armstrong. His professional music career began in the early 1930s, and lasted until 1955 when he retired from the music business.
