He is considered one of the best Cretan violin players along with Γιώργος Αβυσσηνός and Στρατής Καλογερίδης In 1978 he participated in a tv show for young artists, when he was asked why he did that [he wasn't young at the time] he answered: I came here to win the first price and to prove to Ροζίτα Σώκου [one of the judges, that hated Cretan Music] the value of the Cretan Music and he did won the 1st prize! He collaborated with Γιάννης Δερμιτζάκης and Βασίλης Σπανακάκης
