The ensemble for medieval music Labyrinthus (direction: Danil Ryabchikov) was founded in Moscow. The ensemble's musicians perform throughout the world and are well known in Russia among the aficionados of early and sacred music.

Labyrinthus focuses on the monophonic and polyphonic vocal music of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The name is taken from the tradition of the medieval labyrinths that played the main role in the processions in which paraliturgical music was performed.
