Romanian composer born 29th March 1949 in Bucharest. Studied at the Bucharest Conservatory (1968-1975) and attended the summer courses in Darmstadt (1980, 1984). He was a recipient of a French Government fellowship for research and documentation at Ircam (1982), participated in the Rencontres internationales de musique contemporaine, Metz (1982), and attended the classes on computer music held at Ircam (1985). Since 1980 he is sound engineer at Radio România and director of the Electronic Music Studio of the UCMR (Romanian composer's union).
