Ron Williams

Real name: Ronald Kenneth Williams

US drummer, songwriter. Professional musician and song writer for most of his life. He wrote numerous songs recorded by many artists, including the "Texas Fiddle Song" recorded by Merle Haggard. Ron played drums for Loretta Lynn and toured together with numerous artists, among them Tex Ritter, Ernest Tubb and worked for Lonzo and Oscar on the Grand Ole Opry. Former husband of famed country artist Leona Williams, he was the father of country singer Ron Williams.
Born December 6, 1938 in Jefferson City, MO, Ron Williams passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
